Freelance Magazine & Print Designer

I offer high quality services as a freelance magazine designer and print designer, with a wealth of experience across both print and digital media.

I began my career in graphic design as a magazine designer back in 2005, when I worked on a small beauty magazine in South Africa. Since then I’ve gone on to design a UK toy trade title, an over-50s lifestyle magazine, and even the Argos Christmas catalogue.

For most of my clients I offer a full service magazine design or print design package, handling everything from the layout, all the way up to sending the finished files to the printers. My services are completely flexible to suit your needs; for some of my clients I work purely on either design or artworking.

I work with businesses all over the world including North America, Europe and Asia, and am happy to invoice in your local currency. I can also offer a flexible service; I am fortunate enough to have grown my business to include two fantastic designers which helps with capacity on larger projects or those with a tight deadline.

Some projects I have worked on as a magazine & print designer:

Confederation of African Football

I work regularly with integrated brand and communications agency, Touchline. I had the opportunity to work on their behalf on the Activity Report for the Confederation of African Football for their Annual General Assembly. I came up with all the initial concepts right through to providing the finished magazine to their printers.

World Trade Organization

The World Trade Organization asked us to design an annual report titled Making Trade Work for Women, based on their key findings from the first-ever international research conference on trade and gender, the 2022 World Trade Congress on Gender.

Eurostar

I worked at Eurostar as a freelance designer for five months, where I worked on numerous print and digital campaigns. A major project I worked on was the print rollout of the Travel State Of Mind campaign, which included magazine and newspaper print adverts, London Underground tube carriage adverts and London Underground platform 12-sheets.

Oaklands College

I was approached by Oaklands College, St Albans, to revive their bi-annual student magazine, College Life, as well as their annual course guides. This included a complete redesign, starting from initial concept, colour palette and typography through to outputting artworked files for the printers.

Raising Partners

I designed a number of fundraising pitch packs on behalf of investment consultancy Raising Partners, for their clients. Each pack was designed using the client’s brand guidelines. This particular design was created in InDesign rather than PowerPoint in order meet the client’s design expectations.
