Freelance Instructional Designer
I am a freelance instructional designer, blending my knowledge of graphic design, websites and UX to provide businesses with professional e-learning content.
I build engaging and design-led instructional content where the user’s experience takes priority. I have extensive experience in building SCORM-compliant and accessible e-learning courses to industry standards.
I specialise in e-learning accessibility, including the use of Amazon Polly Text to Speech software as well as full compliance with JAWS screen reader and Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software.
Whether you need a designer to design your instructional course from scratch or someone who can translate your existing content into an authoring program such as Articulate Storyline 360, I can help. I work with businesses all over the world including North America, Europe and Asia, and am happy to invoice in your local currency.
I can also offer an agency-level service for larger projects; I am fortunate enough to have grown my business to include two fantastic designers who specialise in e-learning and UX/UI, and a developer who assists us in building full Learning Management Systems (LMS). Please see my E-Learning Agency page to learn more about the development side of our e-learning projects.
Some projects I have worked on as an Instructional Designer:

Sky | Articulate Storyline 360
I was commissioned by creative studio, Many Makers, to build a number of SCORM-compliant internal training programmes for Sky in Articulate Storyline 360.
After being provided the initial look and feel in Figma by Many Maker’s design team, I rolled out the creative to produce 12 different modules, split over three courses.

Pernod Ricard | Articulate Storyline 360
I was commissioned by London-based creative agency, Strange Hill, to take instructional content designed in Adobe Illustrator and transpose it into Articulate Storyline 360, for an e-learning website on behalf of the world’s second-largest wine and spirits seller, Pernod Ricard.
The SCORM-compliant interactive courses work across both desktop and mobile, and I enhanced the interactivity of the documents with advanced elements including triggers, variables and quizzes.

Tavistock Relationships | Articulate Storyline 360
I was approached by Tavistock Relationships, a leading couple’s therapy training institution, to edit, design and build an e-learning course on behalf of CAFCASS (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service). The aim of the course is to reduce strain on family courts by educating parents on the court process and trying to resolve matters before cases go to court. I then designed new course templates in Adobe Illustrator based on the CAFCASS brand and built the course in Articulate Storyline 360.

Conference Expo | Articulate Storyline 360
Stand package solutions supplier Conference Expo tasked us with building two user guides in Storyline 360 to help both organisers and suppliers use their proprietary exhibition portal, with embedded step-by-step videos throughout.

Oasis Community Learning | Articulate Storyline 360
Multi-academy trust Oasis Community Learning were in need of a series of training courses around Health & Safety and Risk Assessment. We designed custom templates in Illustrator and built the courses in Storyline 360, allowing their internal design team to use the courses to create further ones.

Fire Aid International | PowerPoint
Fire Aid approached me to modernise their brand and bring their PowerPoint training decks up to date for their advanced fire fighting course. This included developing a new brand, rethinking and redesigning detailed infographics, and improving the student user journey.
